Lori Imdad
Lori Imdad is a technical writer and content architect for cybersecurity, information security, and technology topics. She was born in Southwest Connecticut and lived on Long Island’s North Shore until 2005.
She has worked for America’s leading companies in different technology capacities, including Siemens, MCI, Schick Technologies, IIE, Morgan Stanley, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and others.
Currently, she lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with her family while providing cybersecurity, information security, and technology content to US-based organizations.
My Story
Lori started her career in banking, her main interest was technology and she often assisted on the floor with system upgrades. This eventually led to her moving to a career in information technology.
Over the years, Lori has held different roles in her technology career from help desk, tech support, customer engineer, staging analyst, systems analyst and I.T. Specialist. These roles also spanned two continents when her family moved from the US to Bangladesh.
Adept at a variety of work, Lori took up roles in both government and private service in Bangladesh.
In 2012 Lori joined a group of educators to offer a US-based curriculum in Bangladesh. She served as the school principal until September 2023.
With a strong interest in writing, Lori embarked on journey in writing with a focus on technology topics in 2019.
In January 2020 she joined MSP360 as a freelance writer and continued this on a part-time basis until January 2024.
In June 2021, she joined Novacoast, Inc as a technical writer and content architect where her writing is focused on cybersecurity.
Currently, Lori is available to speak at conferences on cybersecurity, content writing, and is open to consulting with organizations to improve their content and reach.
